Netiquette

Always maintain a fair and polite tone in your posts and remain objective: always treat other users as you would like to be treated yourself. Please remember that there is a person behind
every user.

Never argue using personal attacks or arguments directed against individuals. Allow others to have their opinions and do not try to impose your views on others.

The following are not permitted:

Insults, degradation, and discrimination against individuals or groups of people, in particular on the basis of their attributed religion, ethnic and cultural origin, nationality, physical condition, sexual identity, gender, age, or disability

Threats or incitement to hatred and violence in any form

• Sexism, pornography, and obscenities

• Violations of third-party rights

• Participation in discussions under different user names/profiles

• Publication of third-party private data (addresses, email addresses, or

phone numbers, etc.) and private correspondence

We reserve the right to restrict or completely disable the comment function in the event of non-compliance with netiquette. If comments exceed the threshold of criminal liability, we
reserve the right to report them.

The Instagram posts provide information about the services offered by the Rhineland-Palatinate Victim Support Service, information about events organized by network partners, and educational material. Therefore, discussion posts should also relate to the respective topic. If this is not the case, we reserve the right to remove posts if necessary.

The misuse of the Instagram channel as advertising space for other websites or services, as well as the commercial or private offering of goods and services, is not permitted and will result in the deletion of the post or the reporting of the post. Content, information, software, or other material that violates existing laws may not be posted.

Unfortunately, we are unable to comprehensively check links, untrue factual claims, and quotations without a source or author reference in such a short time. To prevent the spread of misinformation, we consistently and without exception delete such posts. This also applies to unverifiable factual claims if the statement causes serious harm and the claim cannot be
considered necessary on the basis of legitimate interests.

An exception is made for links from public institutions, which have special status as reliable sources under press law.

We accept no responsibility for user contributions; this lies with the respective person themselves. By posting their contribution, the author grants the Rhineland-Palatinate Victim Support Service the right to retain the contribution on the social media channel if necessary.

As the operator of this site, we will not tolerate violations of the commenting rules listed here. We reserve the right to delete or report posts at any time and without giving reasons. In the event of repeated violations of netiquette, we reserve the right to block users, report them to
the authorities if necessary, or restrict or disable the comments section under posts. By interacting on our social media channels, you agree to these guidelines. Violations of general laws and regulations may result in exclusion from the respective platform and, in serious cases, may result in legal action.
