Rückwege seeks dialogue with young people between the ages of 14 and 27 who are on the threshold of right-wing extremism, who have latent or overt right-wing extremist tendencies. Those seeking advice are given individual support in leaving the scene. The program works closely with local support services and offers practical help. The aim is to enable young people to find a way out of the extremist scene and to strengthen them in the long term.
The Salam Counseling Center offers professional, systemically oriented counseling for dealing with Islamist radicalized or at-risk (young) people. The service is aimed at radicalized individuals as well as their relatives and professionals from the social or institutional environment, with the aim of promoting or accompanying disengagement processes. The aim is to recognize and prevent radicalization processes or to accompany exit processes. Salam also provides advice in cases of uncertainty or misjudgment. The multi-professional team works systemically and multilingually (German, English, Arabic), anonymously if desired, and outreach throughout Rhineland-Palatinate.
Counseling for relatives is aimed at people who are dealing with extremist, anti-democratic, and conspiracy-minded individuals in their family environment and are seeking support. It offers confidential support in assessing the situation and helps to develop realistic options for action. The aim is to strengthen the individual’s ability to deal with stressful situations and to provide guidance. The counseling offers professional support on topics such as extremism, conspiracy theories, and hostility toward democracy and (group-related) hostility toward others.
The Rhineland-Palatinate reporting center
records and documents misanthropic incidents in Rhineland-Palatinate, including insults, threats, attacks, property damage, and digital assaults. The aim is to create a realistic picture of misanthropic violence and to provide those affected with quick and straightforward support and advice. The reported cases are systematically evaluated and – with the consent of those affected – published. The work of the reporting center is based on the concept of group-focused enmity.
MIA-RLP is the regional reporting center for antiziganism in Rhineland-Palatinate and documents discriminatory incidents such as insults, threats, or hateful comments. The aim is to support those affected, to shed light on the hidden problem, and to raise public awareness of antiziganism. Reports can be made confidentially by telephone, online, or in person. In addition, MIA offers referral counseling as well as workshops and educational programs to raise awareness. The reporting center is part of a nationwide network.
SoliNet is the central point of contact in Rhineland-Palatinate for people affected by hate and violence on the internet. The counseling center provides support for psychosocial stress, questions about preserving evidence, and criminal and civil prosecution. In addition, SoliNet offers tips on digital security and specific communication strategies for dealing with digital hate. Counseling is anonymous upon request and can be provided in person, by telephone, or online.
The Anti-Discrimination Office of the Network for a Discrimination-Free Rhineland-Palatinate e. V. offers confidential, independent, and free counseling on all types of discrimination in the Mainz-Rheinhessen-Nahe region. Those affected can describe their experiences in a protected environment, receive support in classifying them, and jointly develop possible courses of action—always in accordance with the principle of impartiality. The counseling does not replace legal or psychotherapeutic help.
